JONATHAN ACTON (Violin)->
Biography
Jonathan is leader and co-founder of the Emerald String Quartet who have made numerous appearances at the Cafe dé Paris, London, as well as giving recitals at St. Mary-le-Strand, St. Bride's Fleet Street, and Letchworth Music Club. The quartet recently performed Haydn's Seven Last Words of Christ, Holy Week, 2007.
Jonathan is also a member of the Emerald String Duo, (with Rob Burgess, guitar) who have given performances at Greenbelt Music & Arts Festival, Cheltenham (2006 - 2007). They released a CD, 'Libertango' in February 2007.
Jonathan teaches for Hertfordshire Music Service (1999-)

Orchestras: Chamber Orchestra of Anglia, Forest Philharmonic Orchestra, Haverhill Sinfonia. Shows: King & I, Oklahoma.
Jonathan's orchestral work also includes Adoramus Orchestra (Principal 2nd, 2004 - present), Cambridge Orchestra (Guest Leader, Verdi Requiem, Peterborough Cathedral, May 2003), British Youth Opera (Carmen & Così fan tutte).
Education Jonathan's graduate studies took place at Trinity College of Music (Dip TCL, 1991 - 1995), where he was awarded the Dr Arved Kurtz prize for violin.
