Biography
In June 2008 Kathryn completed her formal studies with a PG Diploma in Performance at Trinity College of Music aided by scholarships from the Stanley Picker Trust and Cordelia Moses Bursary Scheme. She has since embarked on a varied freelance career as a chamber and orchestral musician, and in January 2009 was appointed Co-Principal Horn of Southbank Sinfonia.
As a keen chamber musician Kathryn is a member of the Globe and Vesuvio Wind Quintets, the Purveyors of Sound Brass Quintet and the newly formed chamber group, the Adaska Ensemble. Kathryn has also played with Superbrass (RPO Principals' Brass Ensemble), Sound Collective and has performed chamber and solo recitals at venues including the Wigmore Hall, the Purcell Room, the Crush Room at the Royal Opera House and Cheltenham Town Hall.

Kathryn's orchestral work also includes English National Ballet, the Locrian Ensemble, Oriana Ensemble, St Paul's Sinfonia, the Lutoslawski Youth Orchestra, the World Youth Orchestra, Sussex Symphony Orchestra and Capital Philharmonic Orchestra. In 2007 and 2008 Kathryn was selected to represent the UK in the World Youth Orchestra.
