Biography
Kate has performed concertos by Martinu and Bach (both in King's College Chapel, Cambridge), Salieri, Cimerosa (with Northern Baroque), and Corelli.
Orchestral Work
Orchestras: Chameleon Arts Orchestra, City Chamber Ensemble, Pimlico Opera. Shows: Carousel, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, Gone With The Wind, Imagine This, Joseph & The Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat, Mary Poppins. Sessions: Music Solutions Ltd.
Kate's orchestral work also includes Syred Sinfonia, Orion Orchestra (principal oboe), London Orpheus Orchestra, Eminence Orchestra, Sydney, Australia (principal oboe in contemporary and pop-influenced orchestra), Voce Ensemble (principal oboe), Young Janacek Philharmonic.
Kate's show experience includes Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, for which she is a regular deputy for the touring show.
Whilst at the RAM, Kate performed in many ensembles including the Symphony and Chamber Orchestras, Sinfonietta and Opera Orchestra. She was also principal Cor Anglais and 2nd oboe with the National Youth Orchestra of Great Britain (1998 - 2000).
Education
Kate's graduate studies took place at Royal Academy of Music (Postgraduate Diploma - Distinction, 2004-06), University of Cambridge, King's College (BA hons Music - 2:1, 2001-04) Prizes and Awards
