Biography
Paul's solo experience includes performances of Hindemith's 'Trauermusik' and Mozart's 'Sinfonia Concertante' with the London Schubert Orchestra. Whilst working for the Scarborough Spa Orchestra, Paul was commissioned to write arrangements for the orchestra and its associated string quartet, now called Status Cymbal.

Paul continues to manage, arrange and play in Status Cymbal which is the resident quartet for a number of cruise lines as well as giving concerts throughout the UK.

Paul is principal viola of the Sinfonietta Tedesca Karlsruhe

Paul speaks German fluently and he has a good working knowledge of French.

Orchestral Work
Orchestras: Aurelian Ensemble, Bert Kaempfert Orchestra, Haverhill Sinfonia, London Jupiter Orchestra, London Philharmonic Orchestra, RTE Concert Orchestra, Watford Philharmonic.

Paul's orchestral work also includes the London Schubert Orchestra (including two tours of Italy as principal and soloist while still at University), Netherlands Radio Philharmonic Orchestra (No 4 Viola), Stavanger Symphony Orchestra (guest principal), Norwegian Opera Orchestra (guest principal), Scarborough Spa Orchestra (1988 - 1991), Camerata Lysy, London Festival Ballet (co-principal), London Symphony Orchestra, Melachrino Strings & Orchestra (principal), Scottish Ballet (principal) and the Ulster Orchestra (principal).

Education
Paul was born in Dewsbury 1951. Paul's schooling took place at Oldershaw Grammar School (1962 - 1968). Paul's graduate studies took place at King's College London (1968 - 1971) and the Royal College of Music (1971 - 1973).
