Biography As an orchestral musician, Frida has lead many youth chamber and symphony orchestras, and also worked with Finnish professional orchestras such as the Tapiola Sinfonietta and the Jyvaskyla Sinfonia. Frida was one of two violinists chosen to play with the Sound Collective in a Trinity College of Music concert at Blackheath Halls in 2005. Frida is a member of the St Pauls Sinfonia and the Arion Orchestra, which she often co-leads and she has lead the New Orpheus Symphony Orchestra and the New Orpheus Chamber Orchestra. Frida is a founding member of the Greenwich String Quartet with whom she plays recitals as well as background music for functions and who have undertaken several SAGA luxury cruises. During her student years in London she regularly played foyer recitals and swing jazz at the Claridge's Hotel and the Savoy. As a recitalist Frida has given performances in Helsinki as part of the Night of the Arts Festival, as well as a series of recitals in Eastcote, Helsinki, Espoo, Kauniainen, Hameenilinna and Lahti. Frida has also given recitals in the Hinde Stree Lenten Festival, Tunbridge Wells, Kensington, Aylesbury, Greenwich, Narpes Music Festival and Claridge's Hotel Foyer. Frida enjoys collaborating with composers and has premiered a number of pieces: Zura Dzagnidze: Intruder - for violin, electronics and backing track (2005), Estonia - String Quartet (2005), Roger Wanamo: Night of the Humble Flea - for solo violin (2007). She has recorded orchestral and solo works for the record label Mils. Orchestral Work Frida's orchestral work also includes Arion Orchestra (Co-Leader), Trinity Opera (Guest Leader, Strainsky's Rake's Progress, 2008), St.Paul's Sinfonia (Guest Leader), Dartington Festival Orchestra (Principal 2nd), New Orpheus Ensemble (Leader), New Orpheus Symphony Orchestra (Guest Leader), Amadeus Orchestra, Westminster Chamber Orchestra, Wimbledon Symphony Orchestra, City Side Sinfonia, Tapiola Sinfonietta and Jyvaskyla Sinfonia, Finland.
