Biography
Since leaving the Royal College of Music, Lizzie has worked with top orchestras including the Philharmonia Orchestra, BBC Symphony Orchestra, Britten Sinfonia and the Manning Camerata. Lizzie held positions of leader and principal in the RCM orchestras for some of the world's leading conductors including Bernard Haitink and Ginandrea Noseda.

Lizzie is presently leader of both the Il Maestri Orchestra who perform regularly in venues such as St John's, Smith Square, and Elastic Band, a mini orchestra which visits schools around the country giving inspiring interactive workshops to children of all ages.

Lizzie's studio work includes BBC TV's Come Dancing, Children in Need, Top of the Pops and the Two Ronnies Show; ITV's Parkinson Show. Lizzie also worked on the re-recording of Michael Nyman's soundtrack for The Piano at Abbey Road (2005) and for Praed Musical at Angel Studios (2005). She was booked for the Simply Red Tour in 2005.

As a chamber musician Lizzie is a member of Classico Latino. The trio perform popular Latin American repertoire in a unique combination of instruments and styles. Classico Latino has a St John's, Smith Square debut on November 9th 2006, which is sponsored by the Friends for Colombian Social Aid and the Colombian Embassy. They are currently awaiting completion of a recording contract with Sony BMG Colombia, and their CD Classico Latino is due for worldwide release in Autumn 2006.

Lizzie also has future plans to perform a showcase of the long awaited String Eclectica project with Bernard Gregor-Smith (cellist of the acclaimed recently retired Lindsay quartet) in November 2006 together with renowned jazz guitarists Pete Oxley and Luis d'Agostino, beginning with a performance on the Holywell Room, Oxford.

Lizzie was guest leader of the Soloists of the Royal Opera House, Covent Garden for the International Chamber Music Festival, Costa Rica (2004), giving five recitals of programs that included the Brahms Sextets.

She was also a founder member of the Kerem String Quartet, who have given recitals at the Crush Room Covent Garden, St James' Piccadilly, as part of the Lincoln Inn's Chapel Series and the V&A Museum Series, and also in Oxford, Sussex, Derbyshire and Salisbury. The Quartet have also given recitals and taken part in Educational Workshops at the London International String Quartet Festival, 2004, and were awarded the Quartet Residency for the Britten-Pears Young Artists Scheme in Aldeburgh in January 2005.

As a soloist Elizabeth has performed concertos by Bruch, Tchaikovsky, and Beethoven, as well as Vaughan William's Lark Ascending and Mozart's Sinfonia Concertante. She has also given Solo and Trio recitals with Huw Watkins, Dominic John, and Christopher Robinson CBE at the Colombian Embassies in London and Stockholm, in Switzerland, at St James' Piccadilly, the National Portrait Gallery, St Michael's Chester Square, West Road Concert Hall Cambridge, as part of the Deal Recital Series and the Cambridge Summer Music Festival.

Elizabeth is also interested in Philosophy, Buddhism, South American Dancing, Waterskiing, Shakespeare, Theatre.

Elizabeth's orchestral work also includes Britten Sinfonia, BBC Symphony Orchestra, Philharmonia Orchestra, Manning Camerata (co-principal violin 2) directed by Peter Manning Concert Master of the Royal Opera House Orchestra, Covent Garden, International Cantieri d'Arte Opera Festival in Montepulciano, Italy, (leader for Holst's Savitri, 2004), Dionysis Opera Ensemble (co-leader, 2004), Southbank Sinfonia, New Professionals (member, 2004), Brunel Ensemble.

At the Royal College of Music Elizabeth led the Opera Orchestra Die Zauberflote; (2003), co-led Dialogue of the Carmelites (2004); was co-leader of the Symphony Orchestra for Roger Norrington and Janos Furst; principal 2nd for Andrew Litton; co-principal 2nd for Bernard Haitink; co-principal 2nd of the String Ensemble with Gordan Nikolitch; and also worked with Ginandrea Noseda, Martin Andre and George Benjamin.

Elizabeth was also principal & co-principal 2nd of the Cambridge University Chamber Orchestra (1999 - 2000) and leader of the City of Sheffield Youth Orchestra (1998 - 2000).

Education
Elizabeth was born in 1981. Elizabeth's schooling took place at Lady Manners School, Bakewell, Derbyshire. Elizabeth's graduate studies took place at St John's College, Cambridge (BA (Hons) 2:1) 1999 - 2002. Her postgraduate studies took place at the Royal College of Music where she gained a Postgraduate Diploma and an Advanced Postgraduate Diploma in Performance, 2002 - 2004.
