Martyn's trials include Scottish Opera (4th Horn, 2007), the Hallé Orchestra (3rd Horn, 2002) and Opera North (2nd Horn, 2002).
Martyn was appointed a member of the Carl Rosa Opera Company Orchestra (2nd Horn, playing Principal when required) in 2000.
As a chamber musician, Martyn has played with the Gallimaufry Ensemble in 2001, and was a member of the RAM Brass Ensemble (1999 - 2001), and the Bellon Brass Ensemble (1997 - 2001).
Martyn's studio work includes Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra (Radio 3 live broadcasts, 2002 - 2005), the Hallé Orchestra 'Elgar Series' CD (2002), National Youth Jazz Orchestra 'Jazz in Film' CD (2004) and the RAM Brass Ensemble CD (2000).
Education Martyn's schooling took place at Bournemouth Grammar School (1990 - 97) Martyn's graduate studies took place at the Royal Academy of Music (BMus & LRAM 1997 - 2001).
