For two years Susanne was principal cellist in the contemporary music group 'Ensemble Wien 2001', which gave her the opportunity of working as soloist with composers such as Hans Zender and Nader Mashayekhi.

Previously she was cellist in the Goldschmidt ensemble, during which time (1993-96) she worked closely with the composer Berthold Goldschmidt. As soloist, she has performed at the 'Festival Modern' in the Konzerthaus in Vienna, the Mirabellschloss and the Schloss Residenz in Salzburg, and at the Prinzregententheater and Koenigsaal (Bayerische Staatsoper) in Munich.

Susanne has been invited to coach students at a variety of colleges and academies in England, Germany and Spain, including the Guildhall School, the Royal Academy of Music (for Josephine Knight), the LPO Future Firsts Scheme, and the University of Valladolid Youth Orchestra. Her own studies began in Salzburg with Heidi Litschauer and continued with Walter Nothas in Munich and Ksenija Jankovic in Wuerzburg, where she was awarded the soloist diploma. Subsequently she studied in London with William Pleeth and took part in masterclasses with many of the world's leading cellists: Paul Tortelier, Boris Pergamenschikov, Steven Isserlis, Karine Georgian, Alto Noras, Natalia Gutman and Heinrich Schiff.
