Biography
Laurent is principal bass clarinet with the Philharmonia Orchestra.

Laurent was a finalist for the vacancy of Principal Bass Clarinet with the National Opera of Bordeaux (France, 2002) and he was 3rd for the vacancy of Principal Bass Clarinet with the Teatro del Liceu of Barcelona (Spain, 2002).

As a chamber musician Laurent is a member of the Ailleurs ensemble on Bass Clarinet, with whom he has regularly toured Norway and performs various concerts around the country. He has also performed chamber music with the soloists of the Philharmonia Orchestra, including Mladi by Janacek on Bass Clarinet.

Laurent was a member of a quintet with strings in the Superior Conservatory of Paris, where he performed chamber music by composers such as Mozart, Brahms, Prokofiev, Glazounov and various others. He also performed Les Contrastes by Bartok as a trio of piano, violin and clarinet.

As a soloist Laurent has performed Bass Clarinet recitals in Norway (2004 and 2005).

Orchestral Work
Orchestras: British Philharmonic Orchestra, London Symphony Orchestra, London Winds, Northern Sinfonia, Philharmonia Orchestra, Royal Philharmonic Orchestra.

Laurent's orchestral work also includes principal bass clarinet work with the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra, Opera of Tours, Opera Eclaté and the BBC Philharmonic Orchestra.

Laurent has also worked with the London Chamber Orchestra, Ensemble Orchestral of Paris, Children's Opera with the Chorus of Radio France, Children's Opera in the Opear of Massy, Orchestra of the Opera of Massy, Philharmonic Orchestra of Ile de France (principal clarinet), Ensemble Musical of Paris, Jeunesse Musique Région Centre Orchestra (principal clarinet and bass clarinet), and the Orchestra of the Superior Conservatory of Paris (principal, second and bass clarinet).
