Biography
In addition to her work as a freelance Violist, Rachel is also a copyist and has undertaken a wide range of copying from new music for Robert Cohen to full orchestral works.
Rachel has also formed her own company called Little Operas to provide transcriptions of large scale operas for small chamber groups. Professional contracts have included 'Eugene Onegin' for Co-Opera London, 'L'Elisir D'Amore' for the Isle of Man Opera, 'La Traviata', 'Die Fledermaus' and 'La Belle Hellene'.
Future transcriptions include 'The Merry Widow' and 'Manon'.

Rachel's orchestral work also includes the London Philharmonic Orchestra, English National Ballet, City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra, London Concert Orchestra, Royal Philharmonic Concert Orchestra, Brighton Philharmonic Orchestra, Oxford Philomusica, English Festival Orchestra, Pro-Arte Orchestra, and Opera Project.

- Teatro del' Massimo, 1987 - 92: mainly opera
- Natal Philharmonic Orchestra, 1985 - 87: symphony, opera & ballet
- Orquesta Sinfonica Municipal di Caracas, 1979 - 81: mainly opera
Education Rachel was born in 1957. Rachel's schooling took place at the Queens School, Chester (1968 - 1975). Rachel's graduate studies took place at the Welsh College of Music and Drama (1975 - 1979). Rachel is a Licentiate of the Welsh College of Music & Drama and Trinity College, London, where she also has a Diploma in Viola Teaching.
