Biography
In addition to her work as a freelance Violist, Rachel is also a copyist and has undertaken a wide range of copying from new music for Robert Cohen to full orchestral works.

Rachel has also formed her own company called Little Operas to provide transcriptions of large scale operas for small chamber groups. Professional contracts have included 'Eugene Onegin' for Co-Opera London, 'L'Elisir D'Amore' for the Isle of Man Opera, 'La Traviata', 'Die Fledermaus' and 'La Belle Hellene'.

Future transcriptions include 'The Merry Widow' and 'Manon'.

Orchestral Work
Orchestras: Aminta Chamber Orchestra, Aminta Concert Orchestra, Aurelian Ensemble, Brighton Philharmonic Orchestra, English Festival Orchestra, English National Ballet, Hatfield Philharmonic, London Gala Orchestra, London Philharmonic Orchestra, Opera Project, Oxford Philomusica, Watford Philharmonic.

Rachel's orchestral work also includes the Royal Philharmonic Concert Orchestra, London Players, English Camerata, Jersey Symphony Orchestra, Salamon Orchestra, English National Orchestra, Canterbury Choral Society, Orchestra del' Teatro Massimo di Palermo in Italy (member 1987 - 1992), Natal Philharmonic Orchestra in South Africa (member 1985 - 1987) and Orquesta Sinfonica Municipal di Caracas in Venezuela (1979 - 1981).

Education
Rachel was born in 1957. Rachel's schooling took place at the Queens School, Chester (1968 - 1975). Rachel's graduate studies took place at the Welsh College of Music and Drama (1975 - 1979). Rachel is a Licentiate of the Welsh College of Music & Drama and Trinity College, London, where she also has a Diploma in Viola Teaching.
