Biography
Jack Bennington was born in Watford and grew up through the Hillingdon Borough and Hertfordshire County Music services, culminating in playing principal trumpet for Schoenberg's Gurrelieder with the Hertfordshire Youth Orchestra under Peter Stark. He then studied trumpet at the Royal Academy of Music under James Watson and Robert Farley and natural trumpet with John Hutchins, and worked with conductors such as Sir Colin Davis and the late Sir Charles Mackerras.
Jack now works as a versatile freelance musician, playing in a wide range of styles, from Baroque to contemporary, and from pop to shows and big bands. He also plays with the quintet Purveyors of Sound and is a member and co-manager of the indie-funk brass band Fat Lips.
Orchestral Work
Jack's orchestral work includes Southbank Sinfonia (Off-stage), Phoenix Orchestra, The Taliesin Players, Tonbridge Phlharmonic, Dartington Festival Orchestra, Yorke Trust (natural trumpet), Side-by-side with London Sinfonietta, London Orpheus Philharmonic Orchestra, Royal Academy LSO Scheme, Royal Academy Symphony Orchestra, Royal Academy Concert Orchestra.

Jack's schooling took place at Watford Grammar School for Boys (1999-2006) Jack's graduate studies took place at Royal Academy of Music, BMus Hons. (2006-2010)
