Biography
Tom recently founded the High Society Orchestra - a 15 piece string orchestra with piano specialising in re-creating music from the 1920's and 30's onwards. Musical styles range from Strauss Waltzes to Broadway classics by Irving Berlin to Rogers and Hammerstein. Engagements are largely in the corporate sector.

The orchestra also supplies conducting workshops for corporate team building and away days.

Tom is also a regular extra player with the CBSO and often sits as guest principal 2nd violin with the National Symphony Orchestra.

Orchestras: Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra, British Philharmonic Orchestra, City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra, Guildford Philharmonic Orchestra, London Concert Orchestra, London Festival Orchestra, London Symphony Orchestra, Mozart Festival Orchestra, National Symphony Orchestra, New Mozart Orchestra, Northern Ballet, Orchestra of the Swan. Shows: Phantom of The Opera. Sessions: Roz Colls.

Tom's orchestral work also includes the Royal Scottish National Orchestra (trial tutti 2nd Vln, 2004), London Soloists Chamber Orchestra, Regency Sinfonia, English Symphony Orchestra, Sinfonia Cymru, Southern Pro Musica, Southbank Sinfonia, South Bank Sinfonia, Bath Philharmonic Orchestra, Bad Ischl Operetta Festival Orchestra-Austria-(Season '03 & '04), 'Viva' Orchestra (East Midlands), Midland Sinfonia and Cornish Sinfonia. In 2005, Tom played for the Russell Watson Tour.

Tom's session work & filming includes a Pop Video for Yake Film Productions, and a string session for the Delta Pop Group (on the Mercury label) in 2002.

Filming undertaken for feature films The Young Victoria and The Duchess.

Tom's other training orchestra experience includes CBSO Training Scheme (2002/03 season), Britten Pears Orchestral Training Course (2002/03), Dartington International Summer School Festival Orchestra (1999 - 2004), London Philharmonic Youth Orchestra and the Chamber Orchestra of Birmingham.

Education
Tom's graduate studies took place at Birmingham Conservatiore between 1997-2001 (BMus(Hons)) & 2001-2003 (Post Graduate Diploma).

Tom was leader and Principal Second Violin of the Birmingham Conservatoire Symphony Orchestra, Sinfonia and the Conservatoire Contemporary Music Group (performing such works as John Adams Chamber Symphony and Philip Caschian's Chamber Concerto).
