Biography
Ross is originally from Chislehurst, Kent and started playing the trombone at the age of seven. He progressed through the Bromley Youth Music Trust playing in various ensembles ranging from brass quintets to symphony orchestras. In 2003, Ross joined the National Youth Orchestra of Great Britain where he switched to bass trombone. He then went on to study at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama with Eric Crees and Keith McNicoll, followed by a year of postgraduate study at the Royal College of Music with David Stewart.

Orchestral Work
Orchestras: Britten Pears Orchestra, London Concert Orchestra, Oxford Philomusica, Southbank Sinfonia. Shows: Les Miserables, Lion King, Love Never Dies, Matilda, Shrek, Singing in the Rain, Sister Act, South Pacific, Wicked, Wizard of Oz.

Ross's orchestral work also includes Manning Camerata, Britten Pears Orchestra, London Contemporary Orchestra, Orion Orchestra, Orpheus Sinfonia, London Brass Virtuosi.

Shows and other work include Sister Act (chair since Sep 2010), Syd Lawrence Orchestra, Oliver (West End), Love Never Dies (West End), Les Miserables (09/10 Tour, West End dep), Cliff Richard "Bold as Brass", Royal Albert Hall (Oct 2010).

Training orchestras include National Youth Jazz Orchestra, Guildhall Symphony Orchestra and Opera Orchestra, National Youth Orchestra of Great Britain.

Education
Ross's graduate studies took place at Guildhall School of Music and Drama (2005-2009), and Royal College of Music (2009-2010)

Teachers: Dave Stewart (Royal College of Music), Eric Crees, Keith McNicoll and Simon Wills (all Guildhall School of Music and Drama). Masterclasses with Enrique Crespo, Kevin Morgan and Graham Lee.
