Biography

Felicity completed her formal studies with a Masters degree in performance at Trinity College of Music London where she was aided by a scholarship from the Ann Driver Trust and has embarked on a varied career as a chamber, orchestral musician and soloist.

Based in London she has performed with a variety of groups in styles from pop to baroque, including Bollywood Strings, Les Miserables (regular extra work 2002 -2003), Cyprus Chamber Orchestra, and The New Queens Hall Orchestra and is a member of The Ivy String Quartet.

Felicity first developed an interest in the performance of early music during her undergraduate studies in Music at Southampton University, from which she graduated in 1999 having been awarded several prizes for performance (including the highest mark for a solo recital). Felicity has studied with the renowned Baroque Violinists Walter Reiter, Richard Gwilt, Mica Comberti, Monica Huggett, Adrian Butterfield and now works as an early music specialist, performing with such distinguished ensembles as Academy of Ancient Music, the Hanover Band and the Armonico Consort as well as solo performances at the Handel House Museum, the National Gallery (playing Solo Early Italian music for the Cavalli Exhibition) and other venues around London.

Felicity's session work has included: Hanover Band, Boyce Odes (2001) and Lesley Garrett, Compilation CD (2003), recording Pergolesi Stabat Mater & Purcell Dido's Lament with Baroque Orchestra, The Spyders.

Felicity's solo work has included: Bruch Violin Concerto in G minor and Beethoven Romance in F (S.E. Surrey Youth Orchestra). She has performed recitals in Turner Sims Concert Hall (2004), the Handel House Museum (2004, 05, 06), Kensington Palace (2004), & Portsmouth Music Club (1998). Felicity was also the Leader and solo violinist in Sir Paul McCartney's Liverpool Oratorio with the Cantata Choir Orchestra (1998).

As a chamber musician Felicity has performed on cruises with the Ivy String Quartet, and performed in recitals with her Baroque Ensemle, Forqueray.

Felicity's orchestral work also includes the Festive Orchestra of London (for Martin Feinstein), Orchestra of Polyphony, London Handel Orchestra, Cyprus Chamber Orchestra, English National Ballet, Armonico Consort, Hanover Band, Millenium Youth Sinfonia, Britten Pears Orchestra and Baroque Orchestra.
