Biography
Jennie is currently studying for her MA at the Royal Academy of Music under the tutelage of David Smith, having recently completed her BMus at the Royal Northern College of Music. Jennie was a Berkshire Music Scholar from 2001-2004.
She is principal cellist of the Pleiades Ensemble and Ella Orchestra, both of which she is a founding member. Jennie was principal cellist of all RNCM orchestras during her BMus course including the Manchester International Festival Orchestra, working with conductors Mark Elder, Paul Daniel, Martyn Brabbins, Tecwyn Evans including performances at the Bridgewater Hall.
She performed at the BBC Proms with the BBC Symphony Orchestra under Martin Brabbins. Other orchestral work includes Sinfonia Cymru, Chester Philharmonic, and the British Philharmonic Orchestra.
Jennie founded The Brinkwells Quartet and the Zawadzki Trio, winning Highly Commended awards with both ensembles. Tutors include Christopher Rowland, Endellion Quartet, Quatour D'anell, Gould Piano Trio and the Alberni Quartet.
Jennie has set up and run compositional and educational workshops with Inner city Manchester children. She is very active in making music accessible to those who don't have any musical opportunities and runs annual residential summer schools in collaboration with the RNCM.

Jennie's orchestral work also includes Royal Oman Symphony Orchestra, Young Musicians Symphony Orchestra (principal cello), British Philharmonic Orchestra (2008), Manchester International Festival Orchestra (co-principal, 2007), Sinfonia Cymru (co principal, 2007), Ella Chamber Orchestra (founding member, 2005 - present), University of London Symphony Orchestra (co-principal). Jennie was also principal and co-principal with many RNCM orchestras.
Jennie's work also includes:
- Recordings for a music single and promotional TV appearances (Feb 2008)
- The Pleiades Ensemble (founding member, 2008)
- Performance of 12 Angry Men for 12 solo cellos with composer Brett Dean (April 2007)
- BBC Proms project with the BBC Symphony Orchestra, under Martyn Brabbins (2005)
- Collaborations with composers such as Brett Dean, Mark-Antony Turnage, John Adams and Edward Gregson
Education Jennie's graduate studies took place at the Royal Northern College of Music (BMus in Music Performance, 2004-2008).
