Biography
Stephanie originally played the violin, studying at London University and Guildhall School of Music and Drama - she now concentrates on the viola but does work playing the violin in chamber music groups freelancing with orchestras including BSO and New London Sinfonia (Principal 2nd)
Session work includes recording with Morrissey (string quartet), various recordings and live broadcasts with BSO, CLS, WNO, BBCNOW (including Dr Who) and playing in groups backing Rick Astley, Cliff Richard and Jane McDonald. More recently she has done miming work with Westlife, Leona Lewis and Susan Boyle. Other TV work includes Top of the Pops and Songs of Praise.
Orchestral Work
Orchestras: BBC National Orchestra of Wales, Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra, Brandenburg Sinfonia, Bristol Ensemble, City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra, Johann Strauss Orchestra, New London Sinfonia, Orchestra of the Swan, Royal Philharmonic Concert Orchestra, Royal Philharmonic Orchestra. Sessions: Face Music. Education Work: Royal Philharmonic Orchestra Education.
Stephanie's orchestral work also includes Extra work with BBC Concert Orchestra, City of London Sinfonia, English Sinfonia, London Soloists Chamber Orchestra (Principal), Bournemouth Sinfonietta, Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra (where she also held short term contracts covering maternity leave in 1997 & 1995), BBC NOW, WNO, Irish Chamber Orchestra, Sarum Chamber Orchestra, Opera Box and Kokoro (BSO contemporary music group).
Stephanie was also a member of the Hong Kong Sinfonietta (1993-95) and was offered the principal position of the Malaysian Philharmonic Orchestra (1998) and a rank and file place with the BBC National Orchestra of Wales (2001).
Stephanie has had trials with the BBC National Orchestra of Wales, Welsh National Orchestra and Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra (sub-principal viola).
Education
Stephanie's schooling took place at Bryanston School, Blandford Forum, Dorset Stephanie's graduate studies took place at Goldsmith's College (BMus (hons)). Her postgraduate studies took place at the Guildhall School of Music & Drama (GSMD Diploma in Orchestra Training)
