Biography
In 2007, Mark was a trialist for Principal Viola at English National Ballet.
Mark's session work includes bookings for Music Matters, (X Factor soundtrack sessions on ITV), London Musicians Ltd (inc. Holiday on Ice soundtrack, magician Hans Klok's Las Vegas Show soundtrack and Ian Fleming James Bond tribute night, London Palladium), London Telefilmonic Orchestra (inc. Myleene Klass 'moving on' album, Bailey's, Level 3, T Mobile, Mercedes, Volkswagen and Reebok Adverts and pop demos for Shayan), BBC National Orchestra of Wales (including Doctor Who and Human Planet sessions), Accord Music Productions, BBC production of Land Girls (Music Matters) and for Face Music, accompanying Westlife and Susan Boyle on the X Factor and Il Divo on Strictly Come Dancing.
He has recently performed with Goldfrapp in Paris at the Marigny Theatre and at the BBC Electric Proms for BBC4, and performed in the Peter Gabriel European Tour in 2010. Mark regularly plays for Katie Melua, recording her new album 'Secret Symphony' and touring as part of her String Quartet.
Mark is Principal Viola for the National Symphony Orchestra and is a member of the Orchestra of the Swan (co-principal viola). He is also Principal Viola with the Syd Lawrence Orchestra.
Mark has played principal viola on various tours for Katherine Jenkins, Russell Watson, Alfie Boe and Lesley Garratt.
Mark is a member of Maquerade String Quartet, whose two CD's, "Everything's Coming up Roses" and "In a Sentimental Mood" are now available from the Masquerade String Quartet's website. The quartet regularly gives concerts of Jazz and Film repetoire, and is part of Bedfordshire's Urban Orchestra project.
Mark is also a Professional String Arranger, with commissions from the Orchestra of the Swan at Jaguar Arts and Business Awards (Birmingham Town Hall), Summer Proms (Stratford) and Christmas Concerts (2008-09).

Mark has been booked as guest principal viola with the London City Ballet (principal viola trial), National Symphony Orchestra of Portugal (a one year contract with 2 months principal work), the Nelson Riddle Orchestra (principal viola, UK tour 2002 & 2003) and the Welsh Chamber Orchestra.
Mark played in the Les Miserables Orchestra (Manchester) and for orchestral concerts booked by Stephen Hill.
Mark's TV work includes "Stars In Their Eyes" Live Final, ITV, Granada, and a Live BBC Broadcast with Katherine Jenkins (Llangollen Eisteddfod) which has also been released on DVD by Universal Classics. Mark has also mimed for the films "Sherlock Holmes 2" (2011), "The Young Victoria" (Martin Scorcese 2007), "The Duchess" (2007) and "Hilary and Jackie" (1998).
Mark was a soloist with Mid Wales Opera for their 2001-2002 season and toured Scotland with the Ruskin Ensemble in 2003.
Mark has also played as part of a string quintet for Johnathan Ansell's "Night at the Opera UK Tour"
Education
Mark's graduate studies took place at the University of Hull (BMus: High II:i between 1987 - 1990) and Royal Northern College of Music (Diploma in PG Performance between 1990 - 1992).
