Biography
Abigail is a keen chamber and orchestral musician currently working with string quartets the Cornelius Ensemble & the Amber Players as well as the Byron Piano Trio. In July and August of this year, the Cornelius Ensemble performed on stage as part of highly acclaimed new musical Chèlinot at the Union Theatre London.

Abigail studied music at Goldsmiths College London, going on the gain a Postgraduate in violin performance from RWCMD Cardiff where she won a number of scholarships. Recent engagements have included guest principal 2nd violin with London Schubert Players and the Classical Soloists chamber orchestras as well as freelance work with many symphony orchestras, opera and theatre companies throughout the U.K.

Abigail has given solo and chamber recitals in England and Wales as well as in France and the Czech Republic. London performance venues have included St Martin in the Fields, Holy Trinity Sloane Square, The Union Chapel, St Pancras Church, St James' Piccadilly, the Burgh House Hampstead, St Leonard's Shoreditch and Lauderdale House Highgate. She has recently performed solo roles with the Performance Ensemble of East London (Bach's concerto for 2 violins) and the LCMM string ensemble (Vaughan-Williams' Variations on a theme of Thomas Tallis).

Between 2000 & 2003 Abigail was the director and soloist of the Kairos Ensemble and Quartet (who have played throughout London and the South East including performances at St Martin in the Fields, All Saints, Blackheath and Holy Trinity, Sloane Square). She has also performed with the Lundinium Ensemble, a chamber group of international musicians which has performed throughout London including recitals at the Burgh House; Hampstead and St Michael's, Marylebone.

As a member of the Apollo Piano Trio, Abigail has given performances and workshops for children with physical and learning disabilities as well as premiering new compositions at the RWCMD Cardiff. Workshops were also given with the Newham Academy of Music staff string quartet throughout schools in the borough.

Abigail's performances with various orchestras and chamber ensembles have covered the classical repertoire as well as musicals, Jazz and Eastern European folk music. She is currently working with the Eastern European string trio Dunajska Kapelye.

Abigail has appeared as a representative for Classic FM, as a member of a young string quartet from the Newham Academy of Music on many occasions over a two year period which included performing at the Labour Party Conference as well as many other engagements. Abigail combines her passion for chamber music with a busy teaching schedule. She was also an assistant librarian at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama (2003 - 04)

Orchestral Work
Orchestras: Bath Philharmonia, Chameleon Arts Orchestra, Dartford Symphony Orchestra, Hatfield Philharmonic, Kingston University Orchestra, Watford Philharmonic.

Abigail's orchestral work also includes The Opera Project (Longborough Festival), London Schubert Players, Elgar Orchestra, Classical Soloists Chamber Orchestra (principal 2nd), Sinfonia Cymru, Lundinium Ensemble (principal 2nd), Chandos Orchestra, Wantage and Abingdon Symphony orchestras (guest co-principal 2nd) and the RWCMD String Ensemble and Symphony Orchestra. Abigail has also played as co-principal and soloist with the LCM String Ensemble.

Abigail's studio work includes recordings for pop and jazz releases including the bands Rondo Brothers and Shrift and Shir. She has also recorded for the LNCM's MA film music composition.

Education
Abigail's schooling took place at Havering Sixth Form College (1995 - 97) and Hall Mead School (1990 - 95). Abigail's graduate studies took place at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama (Post-graduate violin performance Diploma, 2002 - 04) and Goldsmiths College, University of London (BMus in Music, 1997 - 2000).
