Biography
I started playing the trombone at the age of 14 and attended the William Appelby Music Centre, playing in the Doncaster Schools Symphonic Band and Beachfield Youth Orchestra. I continued my studies at Trinity College of Music having lessons from Roger Harvey, Roger Brenner and Roger Argente. While here I played in a number of college ensembles and formed several chamber groups including the brass dectet SE10 Brass winning the Phillip Jones Chamber Music Competition in 2006.
After graduating I became the President of the Students' Union where I gained an interest in events organisation and orchestral management having been in charge of the Students' Union Symphony Orchestra.
I also have a keen interest in music education having taught brass at primary and secondary schools for the last three years. I have organised and taken part in a number of workshops for children in KS2.
