Laura has participated in the prestigious orchestral training scheme with the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra and Welsh National Opera Side-by-Side Scheme. In July 2012 she performed in the World premier of Benjamin Britten's 'Chaos and Cosmos' with the Birmingham Conservatoire Symphony Orchestra where she played the viola solo which begins the piece. Laura made her Wigmore Hall debut in 2014 performing Frank Bridge's Lament for Two Violas.

Alongside her Classical studies Laura has a keen interest in Contemporary and Popular music. In 2010 Laura collaborated with Icelandic Artist Olafur Arnalds and within this outfit, she performed in concert halls throughout Asia, Europe and America. During this time she performed to the Icelandic President at the Shanghai World Expo and performed live on Hungarian National Television. Laura is a keen chamber musician and has worked with members of the Brodsky, Pacifica, Talich and Lindsay quartets.

Laura's professional studies began at the age of 16 when she was awarded a place at Chetham's School of Music to study the Viola with Mark Knight. Laura was awarded with an undergraduate degree from the Royal Northern College of Music in 2012 where she studied with eminent viola tutors Simon Rowland-Jones and Louise Lansdown. She was awarded with a significant scholarship in 2012 to continue her studies at Postgraduate level with Dr Louise Lansdown at Birmingham Conservatoire. Laura has been fortunate enough to receive master classes from violists Nobuko Imai, Garth Knox and Thomas Riebl.

Laura has a keen interest in teaching and has held Leverhulme Trust Fellowships with Birmingham Conservatoire Junior School and Pro Corda. Laura teaches regularly at Pro Corda on both their core and Special Educational Needs courses. She has a passion for teaching and works for Junior Trinity and various Prep and Independent Schools.
