Biography
Emma studied oboe with Celia Nicklin at the Royal Academy of Music. In 1993 she was appointed Principal Oboe with the Orquestra du Norte in Portugal. In 1994 she returned to the Academy, studying with Douglas Boyd and on completing her studies was awarded the Dip.RAM and the Cork Prize.

As chamber musician Emma has performed with the Guildhall Strings, the Haffner Wind Ensemble, Piano Plus Quintessance and Pipers 3. Her orchestral engagements include tours with the London Mozart Players, Britten Sinfonia and the Irish Chamber Orchestra.

Emma has also worked with the English Chamber Orchestra, English Festival Orchestra, English National Ballet, English National Opera Orchestra, English Sinfonia, Garsington Opera, London Mozart Players, London Philharmonic Orchestra, Moscow City Ballet, Royal Ballet Sinfonia, Royal Philharmonic Orchestra and the Royal Scottish National Orchestra.

Emma plays with the chamber ensemble Piano Plus.

Orchestras: Britten Sinfonia, Chroma, English Chamber Orchestra, English National Opera Orchestra, English Sinfonia, Esprit Ensemble, Garsington Opera, London Octave, Sinfonia Verdi, St George's Chamber Orchestra. Education Work: Britten Sinfonia Education.

Emma's orchestral work also includes the Belmont Ensemble, Orquestra do Norte (Portugal), C.I.T.Y Chamber Orchestra and The Opera Company.

Education
Emma's graduate studies took place at Manchester University (BA Hons, English (1983 - 1986)), Guildhall School of Music & Drama (1987 - 1988) and the Royal Academy of Music (DipRam, LRAM (1994 - 1996)).
