Outreach experienceRachel is the founder of Music for Everyone - giving educational recitals and improvisation workshops in Sussex schools. Rachel has also done contemporary music workshops at Sussex University and local schools with the Tacet Ensemble, directed by Michael Finissy. The Photo gallery button is inactive.

Biography
Rachel enjoys a varied career as chamber musician, soloist, orchestral and session player. She is also an experienced cello teacher in both private and state sectors.
Rachel's chamber music experience includes recitals with pianist Rachel Fryer at venues such as Croydon Fairfield Halls and Brighton Festival, and concerts with the Hilser Trio and Kosinka Piano Trio. Rachel is the cellist with the Bergersen String Quartet. Further experience includes recitals with pianist Yoko Ono and guitarist Paul Gregory and contemporary music concerts with New Music Brighton, Tacet Ensemble and One Voice as well as Talkestra, which includes Minimalist music programmes and performances of Pierrot Lunaire.
Rachel's concerto repertoire includes Haydn's Cello Concerto in C major, Vaughan-Williams' Fantasia on Sussex Folksongs and Vivaldi's Double Violin Concerto.
Orchestral Work
Rachel's orchestral work includes Sinfonia of Arun (principal), Camerata of London (principal), Dartington Festival Orchestra (principal), Sussex Symphony (principal), Corelli Ensemble (co-principal), Surrey Sinfonietta, Britten Pears Orchestra, Musicians of All Saints and Endellion Festival Orchestra. Rachel's show work includes deputising for Les Miserables in the West End.
Rachel's session work includes being featured on the soundtrack for Ben Hopkins' 37 Uses for a Dead Sheep and Carol Morley's Madness of the Dance. She has also featured on pop albums by Colin Hare, Charity Quin and David Ingledew.
Education
Rachel's graduate studies took place at Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama: Postgraduate Certificate (1993-95). University of Durham: BA (Hons) Music 2:1 (1990-93).
