The performances, above, of works by Bridge and Taverner are from recitals given by Jose with Alessia Mankouskaya (Mezzo Soprano) & Varia Doletskaya (Piano).

Biography
Jose is an experienced musician playing a wide range of repertoire in both chamber and orchestral music. In the summer of 2006 he co-founded, with the Belorussian mezzo Alessia Mankouskaya, the Ensemble Vertigo project. This ensemble works as a small 'network community of musicians', allowing a great flexibility of formations and repertoire. In November 2009 they performed in the Royal Palace of Madrid in the presence of Queen Sofia. Other recent performances include lunchtime recitals in St Martin in the Fields, Chipping Campden Music Festival recital, Blackheath Halls, Reform Club, Bloomsbury Church, "Art's Cafe, contemporary drama theater", Moscow, World Sacred music Festival (coming October 2008). With this ensemble Jose has explored different styles, from classical, to contemporary music, from medieval music to Cabaret.

He is also a member of the Brunelleschi String Quartet since 2006, performing regularly in London in venues such as St Martin in the fields, St James Piccadilly, and the Latin American House in London. In Feb 2008 they premiered Denise Mangiardi's Heart has no measure.

While at Trinity College of Music, where Jose studied for his masters degree, he was soloist violist of the CMG (Contemporary Music Group) and the Chamber Orchestra, performing pieces by John Cage, Arnold Schoenberg, Harrison Birtwhistle and Stephen Montague, amongst others.

He was selected from Trinity to take a part in the British string orchestra from all British conservatories which performed in the Krakow Festival (November 2007) under the direction of Peter Stark. He also had the opportunity to play baroque viola, leading the violas under the baton of Richard Egarr, performing St John's Passion by Bach (March 2008).

His interest in new artistic projects lead him to collaborate with choreographers from Trinity Laban, performing pieces including musical improvisations at the Bonnie Bird Theatre (Dead Sea Trinity Laban, 2007), The Place theatre (Aphanisis part of the 'Resolution' program, 2008) and his own devised project, Marat Sade (based on Peter Weiss's play), premiered at Trinity College of Music in April 2008.

Jose has experience as a professional actor, which makes him a unique performer for experimental music performances involving stage presence and movement.
