Biography
Sue works widely as an orchestral musician, playing with many of the country's leading orchestras. She has had many trials, not only for principal and second jobs, but for bass and E flat. Sue is currently on trial for principal bass clarinet with the BBC National Orchestra of Wales.

She specialises in contemporary music and bass clarinet, and has been a member of Jane Manning's Minstrels for over 15 years, performing many new works. She regularly performs as a soloist and with the ensemble Erard.

Sue has always combined a playing career with teaching and coaching, and is currently head of wind at Haileybury College, Hertford.

Orchestral Work
Orchestras: BBC National Orchestra of Wales, Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra, Brandenburg Sinfonia, English Chamber Orchestra, JB Management, La Folia, London Musical Arts Orchestra (LMA Orchestra), New London Sinfonia, Pro-Arte. Shows: Les Miserables.

Sue's orchestral work also includes Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra, Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, Welsh National Opera, BBC Philharmonic, BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra, ENO, Bournemouth Sinfonietta, Lontano and Opera Box.

Session work includes the film sessions for Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince for Cool Music, and film sessions for Nick Hooper.

Shows include Les Miserables (regular dep on clarinet and sax), Matthew Bourne's Nutcracker! (Christmas 2003-4, on clarinet and bass clarinet, and Christmas 2007-8, on first clarinet and bass) and D'Oyly Carte Last Empress (2003), The King and I (clarinet and bass clarinet, 2001-2003).

Education
Sue's graduate studies took place at Brasenose College, Oxford (MA Hons) and the Royal College of Music (ARCM Hons (Scholar)).
