Biography
Morgan is currently the violist of the Kreutzer String Quartet, the Locrian Ensemble and the Gavin Bryars Ensemble, with whom he records and travels extensively throughout Europe, and the world. He was a founder member of the Solaris String Quartet specialising in the music of composers interned in the Terezin concentration camp, Czechoslovakia, during the second world war. He has worked with many composers in England, Europe and Australia. Composers including Michael Finnissy, David Matthews, Jeremy Dale Roberts, Judith Bingham, David Gorton and Gloria Coats have all written quartets for the Kreutzer Quartet.
He has a busy recording schedule. He features as a solo artist on Naxos, and has recorded both Solo and as a chamber musician for Naxos, Dutton Epoch, GB Label, Toccata Classics, Guild, ABC Classics, BMS, NMC, and Metier.

Morgan's orchestral work also includes the BBC Philharmonic Orchestra, Sydney Symphony Orchestra (on contract) (1996-97), Australian Brandenburg Orchestra (1993-94), The Canberra Symphony and Philharmonic Orchestras, Alpha Centuri (at the Roger Woodward Festival), Hunter Valley Orchestra, Sydney Opera House Orchestra (1993-97) and Cameron Mackintosh Productions (Phantom of the Opera and Les Miserables (Australia), 1994-96).
Education Morgan's schooling took place at the Centre for Young Musicians (1983-1987). During this time he was a member of the London Schools Symphony Orchestra. Morgan's graduate studies took place at Canberra School of Music, Australia (1989 - 1993) where he obtained his Bachelor of Music degree, and at Sydney Conservatorium (1994-1995). It was in 1992 that Morgan took up the viola having been a violinist up until then. Prizes and Awards
