Morgan is currently the violist of the Kreutzer String Quartet, the Bliss String Quartet, the Locrian Ensemble and the Gavin Bryars Ensemble with whom he travels extensively throughout Europe, and the world. He was a founder member of the Solaris String Quartet specialising in the music of composers interned in the Terezin concentration camp, Czechoslovakia, during the second world war. He has worked with many composers in England, Europe and Australia. Composers including Michael Finnissy, David Mathews, Jeremy Dale Roberts and Gloria Coats have all written quartets for the Kreutzer Quartet. Morgan gave the UK premier of Luis de Pablo's Monologuè for solo viola at the Huddersfield Festival of Contemporary Music.
He has a busy recording schedule. He has recorded the Arther Butterworth Viola Sonata for the Dutton Epoch label, Arnold Cooke viola Sonata for BMI Label, Jeremy Dale Roberts String Trio for NMC, Thoma Simaku Quartets and Solo Viola Solioquay, for Naxos, and David Mathews Quartets. He has also recorded Quartets by Clifford and Bainton with the Locrian Ensemble and Gavin BryarsLauda for three string instruments and voice with the Gavin Bryars Ensemble for GB records.
With the Solaris Quartet he has recorded the suppressed music of Haas, Klein, Krassa and Ullman. Joining the Fiorini Piano Trio, he has recorded John Carmichaels Sea Changes piano quartet for ABC Classics. With the Locrian Ensemble he has recorded for the Guild label Beethoven's Pathetique sonata alongside the 1st and 8th symphonies for string quintet.
