Orchestral Work
Orchestras: Aurelian Ensemble, Bath Philharmonia, Bernardi Chamber Ensemble, Britten Pears Orchestra, Emerald Ensemble, Milton Keynes City Orchestra, Opera East, Orchestra of St John's, Swansea City Opera, Watford Philharmonic, Westminster Chamber Orchestra.
William's orchestral work also includes extra work with the Welsh National Opera and South Wales Sinfonia. He has also worked with the Emerald Ensemble, The Sinfonietta, English Festival Brass, The Cabot Brass Ensemble, Britten Pears Orchestra, Swansea City Opera, Iford Opera, Opera East, the Dave Stapleton Jazz Orchestra, and the West of England Philharmonic Orchestra.
William's studio work includes a performance with McFly at the Royal Variety Performance 2005, recordings for BBC Radio 2 with chamber brass groups, Sound Affairs, and BBC Radio 4 Christmas Midnight Mass 2006.
William's theatre work includes Jesus Christ Superstar and Valley of Song.
William performed as a soloist with the RWCMD Symphonic Wind Orchestra, performing the trombone solo from Berlioz Grande Symponie funèbre et triomphale.
Recently (2006), William has worked with the Milton Keynes City Orchestra as Tour Manager and deputy Orchestral Manager.
As a student, William took part in the LSO side by side scheme, was principal trombone at the RWCMD with the Symphony Orchestra, Millenium Ensemble, Brass Ensemble, Trombone Choir and Wind Band; and was the principal trombone of the National Youth Wind Orchestra of Great Britain.
Education William's graduate studies took place at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama, BMus and Post-Graduate Diploma in Performance with Distinction (2000 - 2005), and the Royal Academy of Music, Postgraduate Diploma with Distinction. (2005-2006) Prizes and Awards
- South Square Trust award to attend the Royal Academy of Music 2005.
- Richard Clarkson Memorial Prize for best all-round musician at the RWCMD, 2005.
- Linda Mowat Post-Graduate Brass Prize, winner 2004.
- EMI Sound Foundation Bursary to study at the RWCMD 2004.
- Post of Graduate assistant to the Head of brass at the RWCMD which meant in return a scholarship to assist post-graduate students 2004.
