Teaching experience
- Tom combines his freelance work with educational work which he is passionate about and enjoys a busy teaching and coaching schedule. He is the bassoon teacher for Sutton Music Service Saturday School, the City of London School for Boys, the London Oratory School and Newland House School in Teddington and also teaches adults and children privately. He coaches the wind of Sutton Youth Symphony Orchestra as well as several adult amateur orchestras in London. His enthusiasm and friendly manner make him a popular coach both for adults and younger players.

Orchestras: BBC Concert Orchestra, Brandenburg Sinfonia, Britten Sinfonia, Milton Keynes City Orchestra, New Mozart Ensemble, New Mozart Orchestra, Royal Philharmonic Concert Orchestra, Southern Pro Musica, Thames Sinfonia, Ulster Orchestra.
Tom's orchestral work also includes English Chamber Orchestra, BBC Symphony Orchestra, Academy of St Martin's in the Fields, Royal Philharmonic Orchestra (contra), Welsh National Opera (contra), Ulster Orchestra (contra), Music Projects (contemporary music) BBC recordings.
Shows: 42nd Street (Theatre Royal, Drury Lane) - two years as bassoon.
Chamber Music: Founder member of Etesian Winds wind quintet and Concertone - wind and piano ensemble.
Education
Tom's graduate studies took place at the Guildhall School of Music & Drama and his postgraduate studies took place at the National Centre for Orchestral Studies (under Goldsmith's College, London). Tom's web links
