Biography
Rachel is currently on trial on Cor Anglais with the Malaysian Philharmonic Orchestra. In 2005 she completed trials on Principal Oboe with the English National Ballet and the Adelaide Symphony Orchestra. She is also on the extra list for the London Symphony Orchestra, the Philharmonia (Cor anglais), and the Royal Scottish National Orchestra (Cor anglais).

As a chamber musician, Rachel has worked with the Lunar Ensemble (Saga Cruise), the Harwood Wind Trio (Live Music Now! Recital Scheme and Tunnell Trust Finalists), and the Stuttgart Blaserakademie (Principal and 2nd, May 2002).

Rachel has given concerts with Octopia Wind Octet, Kantack Contemporary Music Ensemble (Principal and 2nd), Eleat Ensemble (including workshops with Nash Ensemble).

Rachel's orchestral work also includes the London Chamber Players (Principal and 2nd, 2004), Southbank Sinfonia (Co-Principal, 2004), and 'Passing the Baton' scheme at the Royal Opera House (2nd oboe).

As a student at the Royal Academy of Music Rachel played Principal and Cor anglais under the direction of Sir Colin Davis, Lutz Kohler and Sir Charles Mackerras.

Rachel's student orchestral experience includes the RAM Symphony, Opera and Concert Orchestras; the RAM Sinfonia; British Rock Symphony Orchestra (Principal and 2nd); National Youth Orchestra (1995 - 1997, Principal, Cor anglais and section); National Youth Chamber Orchestra (1995, 2nd).

Education
Rachel's graduate studies took place at the Royal Academy of Music (1997 - 2001); Stuttgart Hochschule, Germany (2001 - 2002); RAM, Postgraduate Diploma (2002 - 2003).
