Biography
In June 2006 Claire performed in a radio broadcast with the Jeune Orchestra Atlantique across Europe on SR3 in Saarbrucken. Claire has also had performances broadcast on Radio 4 Women's Hour and in 2004 she recorded a CD of Leo Cottakis' The Last Voyage. the world premiere of which was performed at the Egyptian Embassy in Athens in March 2004.

Claire's concerto performances include the Bruch Clarinet and Viola Concerto in St John's, Waterloo, and Sherbourne Abbey, Dorset, and Claire has performed concertos with the Magdalene Orchestra, Worcester. She has also recently performed Mozart's Sinfonia Concertante at the Endellion Festival, and the Pleyel Sinfonia Concertante in Saintes, Fance, on classical clarinet (July 2006).

As a recitalist, Claire has performed at many different venues, including the Pall Mall Galleries for the National Trust, Banstead Arts Festival, the Windmill Music Society and St Paul's Walden Bury Music Society.

Claire is a busy chamber musician, and has performed at the St Endellion Festival with Richard Hickox. Claire joins the Motion Group in a season of performances of Stravinsky's Soldier's Tale at the Old Vic in January 2006. Claire has also worked with the Dionysus Ensemble and given Music for Charities recitals in Guildford.

Claire is a founder member of the Mistral Wind Quintet whose recent concerts include the Purcell Room and Ramsgate Festival. She has also worked with the Nash Ensemble. Claire is a member of Ensemble Lumiere who performed newly commissioned works at Grange-over-Sands Music Society in July 2004. She will also be assisting with the Chamber Music and Art of Accompaniment Courses at the Charterhouse Summer School. Claire also works regularly with string ensembles and has performed the Mozart Clarinet Quintet, Messaien's Quartet for the End of Time and Schubert's Shepherd on the Rock in London and Italy.

Claire has also played with the Contemporary Consort and has been engaged for various freelance recording sessions and has played as part of the Endellion Music Festival 2005.

Claire has a duo partnership with Shulah Oliver (violin/viola) named the Duo Armande. Recent engagements include Bruch Concerto for Clarinet and Viola with the Magdalene Orchestra in Worcester, a lunchtime concert at Hyde Park Chapel, and education workshops in Worcestershire and London. Claire has given a number of Charity Recitals in Guildford.

Claire is strongly committed to musical education and works on the London Philharmonic Orchestra and Southbank Sinfonia education projects which include the Tate Modern, London Sculpture Academy and schools and colleges all over England, Scotland and Italy. She is currently Manager for the Royal College of Music Summer School 2004, and recently completed the Glyndebourne Workshop Leader Training with LPO. Claire has taken part in Education workshops at King's School, Worcester. In Autumn 2006 Claire is giving concerts with Ugandan pianists and coaching chamber music in Kampala Music School, Uganda.

Claire's theatre work includes the Thursford Christmas Spectacular 2003 and 2004, Me and My Girl (Maidenhead), Bye Bye Blackbird tour with RAF Halton and Half a Sixpence with Aylesbury Music Theatre Society.

As a Jazz saxophonist, Claire has played in the Montreux, North Sea, Edinburgh and Aberdeen Jazz Festivals with Aylesbury Dance Band (Soprano, alto and tenor saxophone, flute, clarinet and bass clarinet).

Claire doubles on Saxophone and Flute.

Claire teaches clarinet, flute, saxophone and piano for nine years to all age groups from beginner to diploma level. For four years, she has taught clarinet at Lady Margaret School, Parsons Green. She is involved in directing music with a number of school wind orchestras, jazz bands, choirs and chamber ensembles.

Education
Claire's schooling took place at Aylesbury High School, Buckinghamshire 1990-1996. Guildhall School of Music and Drama 1996-1997. Claire's graduate studies took place at Royal College of Music, BMus (Hons). ATCL Solo Piano
