Biography
Jonathan returned to the United Kingdom in January 2008. From March 2002 until December 2008 he was principal cello with the Yucatan Symphony Orchestra. He performed with Placido Domingo and the Cuban National Ballet as well as playing over 40 different orchestral programmes every year. He performed as a soloist on various occasions including performing the Beethoven Triple Concerto. Jonathan formed the Genesis String Quartet which performed at the International Chamber Music Series in Mexico City and with the Grammy-award nominated Cuarteto Latinoamericano.
Since his return to the U.K. Jonathan has been appointed as a permanent member of the Carl Rosa Opera Orchestra and is on the extra list for the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra. Jonathan played live on BBC Radio 1 with David Jordan on "Live Lounge" presented by Jo Whiley.
Suite for solo cello Echos from Merida, by Leroy Osmon, performed by Jonathan Hennessy-Brown, published by RBC Music, San Antonio, Texas.
He has also formed the Santiago String Quartet which specializes in Latin American music and collaborating with musicians from the region. He is also a member of the Atlantic Trio which is a function group.
Future plans include playing as a soloist with Exeter Cathedral Choir, quartet recitals in Mexico City and extensive touring across the U.K. with Carl Rosa Opera Company.

In 2008 Jonathan was appointed as member of Carl Rosa Orchestra and to the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra list. He has also performed with the British Philharmonic Concert Orchestra, Chelsea Sinfonia and as Guest Principal of the Rehearsal Orchestra

Education Jonathan was born in 1975. Jonathan's schooling took place at Cranleigh School (music scholar) 1988 - 1993, Royal Academy of Music (Junior Academy Scholar), 1991 - 1993, National Youth Orchestra. Jonathan's graduate studies took place at the Royal College of Music (BMus Hons, ARCM, 1993 - 1997).
