Biography
David studied at University of Manchester before being awarded a Leverhulme scholarship to undertake Post-Graduate studies at the Royal College of Music.
David now works freelance in London. As an orchestral player David has played with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, RTE National orchestra of Ireland as well as with chamber orchestras such as Southern Sinfonia. As a soloist, David performed the Panufnik cello concerto with the University of Manchester Symphony orchestra and Dvorak cello concerto with Dorking Philharmonic orchestra. He regularly performs recitals in London, and has recently formed a cello/ guitar duo.
As a session player David has performed live for Radio 1 with Maxi Priest and worked with Stephen Hussey.
David was part of the orchestra for the RTE National Orchestra of Ireland's recording of Gerald Barry's 2005 opera 'The bitter tears of Petra von Kant' and Southern Sinfonia's 2009 recording of Requiem by Carl Rütti.
