Biography
Atsuko was born in Japan. She began to study the Violin and Piano at the age of 3. Atsuko's graduate studies took place at the Osaka College of Music where she gained a Bachelor's Degree in Music (graduating as top student following her entry as a top student) and a Master's Degree in Music. Subsequently Atsuko completed her postgraduate Diploma at the Royal Academy of Music and graduated with Distinction.

Atsuko received a distinction in the final recital and concerto performance in 2005 and the end of year recital in 2004 at the Royal Academy of Music. Since 1997 she has been studying under Professor Tomotada Soh. She is an active professional violinist working as a Soloist, Orchestral player, Chamber Musician and Teacher in various parts of the world.

As an Orchestral player she has gained experience working under conductors such as Sir Colin Davis, Sergiu Commisiona and Giovanni Pascor. Atsuko has worked as a freelance violinist with many orchestras, including the London Concert Orchestra, Kazakhstan Philharmonic Orchestra and the Hungarian Virtuoso Chamber Orchestra. Atsuko is a versatile violinist playing many different styles of music for theatre, TH, Pop including the BBC New Year's Eve Show, Your Country Needs You Eurovision and ITV's This Morning. She has toured with the European Opera Centre to Poland, Germany, Wales and England.

As a soloist Atsuko has performed in concertos by Mendelssohn (July 2008), for which she received favourable reviews. She won the Superior Prize and Instructive Prize in the Kobe International Compeition, 2002.

Orchestras: Albemarle Orchestra, Dartford Symphony Orchestra, London Concert Orchestra, National Symphony Orchestra, Thames Festival Orchestra, Watford Philharmonic, Westminster Chamber Orchestra.

Atsuko's orchestral work also includes the Royal Academy of Music Concert Orchestra and Symphony Orchestra, Ashover Festival Orchestra, Southbank Sinfonia, Royal Orchestral Society, Kingston University Orchestra, Wigston Civic Orchestra, Langley Hall Prom in Norwich, the Asian Youth Orchestra (2004, 2002, 2001 & 2000), Kyoto International Music Festival (2002, 2001 & 2000), Concertmaster of the Osaka College of Music Orchestra (2000 - 01).

Atsuko has worked with many eminent conductors including Sir Colin Davis, Sergiu Commisiona and Giovanni Pascor.

Atsuko's solo and chamber experience includes performing with the Hungarian Virtuoso Chamber Orchestra.

Education
Atsuko's graduate studies took place at the Osaka College of Music where she gained a Bachelors Degree in Music (2001) (graduating as top student, having also entered as top student in 1997) and a Masters Degree in Music (2003). Her postgraduate studies took place at the Royal Academy of Music (PGDip 2005).
