Biography
Jennie-Lee was Co-Principal Oboe of the Southbank Sinfonia during 2006, and is on the extra list for the London Symphony Orchestra. She was recently on trial for Principal Oboe with the RTE National Symphony Orchestra and has also been on trial for Principal Oboe with the Royal Scottish National Orchestra. Jennie-Lee is now the Principal Oboe with Carl Rosa Opera.

Jennie-Lee's solo engagements include

  • Vivaldi Concerto in A minor and Albinoni Concerto in D minor (London Soloists Chamber Orchestra at St. Martin in the Fields, 2005)
  • Mozart Oboe Concerto (Westminster Philharmonic Orchestra, 2005)
  • Mozart Oboe Concerto (Essex Symphony Orchestra (2004)
  • Numerous recitals for music societies as recipient of the Countess of Munster Recital Scheme
  • Octanphonie (Wind Octet) finalists in the 2005 Royal Overseas League competition
  • Founder member of Canteloube Ensemble (Wind Trio) recepients of a scholarship for the Tunnell Trust chamber music course in Strathgarry, Scotland (2005)

Jennie-Lee is a member of the Canteloube Trio with Fiona Troon (bassoon) and Pete Cigleris (Clarinet).

Jennie-Lee's orchestral work also includes London Soloists Chamber Orchestra principal & 2nd, London Chamber Players principal & 2nd on tours to China & Spain, Guildford Philharmonic Orchestra principal & 2nd, Southbank Sinfonia 2nd & Cor Anglais, New Professionals Ensemble 2nd, Contemporary Consort, Les Azuriales Opera Festival Orchestra, Southern France principal & 2nd. She is also on the extra list for the Royal Ballet Sinfonia.

Jennie-Lee's theatre work includes Miss Saigon.

As a student Jennie-Lee was invited to take part in the desk partnership schemes of the London Symphony Orchestra, BBC Symphony Orchestra (2002 - 2004), and City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra (2001 - 2002).

Jennie-Lee was also a member of the World Youth Orchestra; European Union Youth Orchestra; National Musicians Symphony Orchestra; Royal College of Music Symphony Orchestra, New Perspectives Ensemble, Opera Orchestra and Woodwind Ensemble (2002 - 2004); Birmingham Conservatoire Symphony Orchestra, Sinfonia and Woodwind Ensemble (1998 - 2002); Britten Pears Contemporary Orchestra and Chamber Music Course (2001), National Youth Wind Orchestra of Great Britain (Principal, 2000).

Education
Jennie-Lee's graduate studies took place at Royal College of Music where she gained an Advanced PG Dip (Orchestral Specialist) Distinction (2002 - 04). She also attended Birmingham Conservatoire (1998 - 2002) where she achieved a First Class BMus (Hons) during which Jennie-Lee spent four months on an ERASMUS exchange at Franz Liszt Hochscule, Weimar (2000).
