Education
Giles was born in 1974. Giles's schooling took place at the Peter Symonds' College, Winchester and Hampshire Specialist Music Course (1990-1992). Giles's graduate studies took place at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama, BMus Hons (1992-1996) and Post Diploma Orchestral Training Course (1996-1997).

Teachers: Peter White, Julian Poore, John Miller, Peter Cosh, Anne McAneney and Steven Keavy.
