Biography
Simon has been a freelance horn player for over twenty years. Since leaving the RAF Central Band, where he was principal horn, Simon has worked with many ensembles including the London Symphony Orchestra, Philharmonia Orchestra, City of London Sinfonia, Halle Orchestra, BBC National Orchestra of Wales, Royal Ballet, Welsh Chamber Orchestra, Orchestra Viva, Sadlers Wells Opera.

Simon is an experienced teacher and was Horn specialist for Leicestershire Arts and Education (2003 - 2008), which involved working with 8 - 18 year olds, both teaching Horn and section coaching.

As an extension of his work at Leicestershire Arts, Simon is regularly booked to provide Brass instrument demonstrations on Tuba, French Horn, Trumpet and Trombone with the pianist Abigail Johnson, both at schools and within the community, details of which can be seen at Brass Master.org.

Orchestras: Bath Philharmonia, English Festival Orchestra, London Concert Orchestra, Royal Philharmonic Orchestra.

Education
Simon's graduate studies took place at the Royal Military School of Music, Kneller Hall and the Royal Academy of Music where he gained a BA (Hons).
