Biography
=Since graduating with an MA in Performance from the Birmingham Conservatoire in 2001, Dury has enjoyed working with numerous orchestras across the UK. Originally from Suffolk, he has appeared regularly at the Aldeburgh Festivals and Snape Proms with conductors including Paul Daniel, Oliver Knussen, Sakari Oramo and Tadaaki Otaka. Recently, Dury has worked with the British Concert Orchestra, Regency Sinfonia, City of Bristol Symphony Orchestra, Britten-Pears Orchestra, Jersey Symphony and Concert Orchestras and the Birmingham Philharmonic.

As a founding member of the Ardeton Ensemble Dury has given chamber and solo performances both in the UK and Internationally, including concert series in Manchester, Bristol, Ipswich, Cardiff and Risfr, Norway. Dury is also a founding member of the Ardeton String Quartet, finalists in the Cavatina Chamber Music Competition who have studied with renowned musicians including the Chilingirian Quartet at the Pro-Corda National Chamber Music Academy, performing across the UK as well as for numerous corporate events and weddings in Bristol, the South West and the Midlands.

As a chamber musician Drury has worked with the Ardeton Ensemble, Ardeton String Quartet, Britten Pears Contemporary Alumini Esemble 2003, Pelleas Ensemble (princ) and the Thallein Ensemble (princ).

Opera work includes Ariadne Auf Naxos, Duke Bluebeard's Castle, Eugene Onegin, The Cunning Little Vixen, HMS Pinafore, The Socerer, The Elixir of Love and Carmen.

Dury's Studio & Media work includes Premier Strings, of which he is founder and principal cello, Tanya Walker, Dalziel & Pascoe for BBC TV, Percussion, a BBC Commission for Birmingham Film Festival, and Last of the Brylcream Boys, Film Soundtrack.

Dury has had masterclasses with Rohan de Saram (Arditti Quartet) and Jane Salmon (Schubert Ensemble).

Dury's orchestral work also includes the Britten Pears Orchestra (Co-princ), Dartington International Festival Orchestra (Co-princ), Jersey Symphony Orchestra, Sinfonia Cymru, British Police Symphony Orchestra, Taunton Camerata, National Musicians Symphony Orchestra, Amadeus Orchestra, Birmingham Philharmonic, Birmingham Conservatoire Symphony Orchestra & Sinfonia (Princ).

Education
Dury's graduate studies took place at the Birmingham Conservatiore (MA in Music (perf) & PGDip, 2000-2001), University of Birmingham (BMus (hons) 1st in perf, 1997-2000)
