Biography
Daniel was principal viola of the Orchestra of the Welsh National Opera (1988 - 1990).

As a chamber musician Daniel has been a member of the Holywell Piano Quartet (1983 - 1987), the Howard String Quartet (1980 - 1986) and the Ashdown Eurthythmy (1985 - 1986).

Daniel has performed as a concerto soloist, recitalist, and with various chamber groups at venues throughout the UK, including the Wigmore Hall; Purcell Room; St John's Smith Square; St George's Brandon Hill, Bristol; Snape Maltings; St Martin in the Fields. He has also worked in West Germany, Norway, Luxembourg, Yugoslavia, Italy, Ireland and Spain.

Daniel has worked with the pianists Peter Evans and Nigel Clayton, and the conductors Richard Hickox and Martyn Brabbins amongst others.

He has made four highly praised commercial CDs of twentieth century English chamber music with the Holywell Ensemble which have been broadcast a number of times on BBC Radio 3.

Daniel's orchestral work also includes the Britten Pears training orchestra, Henry Wood Chamber Orchestra, Primavera, Mozart Festival Orchestra (principal), Stavanger Symphony Orchestra (guest principal), Bergen Symphony Orchestra (guest principal), English National Opera (co-principal trial, 1987 - 1988), Philharmonia, Northern Sinfonia, London Chamber Players, Welsh National Opera (principal Viola, 1988 - 1990), Holywell Piano Quartet (1983 - 1987), Ashdown Eurthythmy (1985 - 1986) and the Howard String Quartet (1980 - 1986).

Education
Daniel was born in London 1962. Daniel's schooling took place at the City of London School (1973 - 1980) and Pro Corda (1976 - 1980). Daniel's graduate studies took place at the Royal College of Music (1980 - 1985, GRSM & ARCM).
