Biography
Fraser studied Zoology at Durham University before deciding to pursue a career as an oboist. Following postgraduate studies under Stephane Rancourt at the RSAMD he was offered a scholarship to study at the Royal College of Music with Christopher Cowie and Gareth Hulse. During his time at the RCM he was awarded the Earl of Dalhousie Prize, the Lady Barbirolli Oboe Prize and was appointed a Leverhulme Trust Orchestral Mentor.
Since graduating in 2009, Fraser has worked as second oboe with several orchestras including the London Symphony Orchestra, Philharmonia Orchestra, London Philharmonic, BBC National Orchestra of Wales, BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra and the Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra. In addition he has appeared as Guest Principal Oboe with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra and Principal Cor Anglais with the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra.

Education
Fraser's graduate studies took place at Durham University (2002 - 05, BSc (Hons) Zoology, II:i), the Royal Scottish Academy of Music & Drama (2005 - 07, Masters in Performance), and the Royal College of Music (2007 - 09, Advanced Postgrad Diploma in Performance).
