Biography
Laura is a member of the Mallard Oboe Trio and the Con Alma Duo (oboe and guitar with Alec Coburn), and was a member of the Sheridan Wind Soloists.

Laura was a junior exhibitioner at the Royal College of Music and continued her studies at Nottingham University, where she studied with Janet Nabarro and studied as a post-graduate with Gareth Hulse. The following year Laura attended the Royal Conservatory in The Hague, Holland to study with Heinz Friesen.

Since completing her studies Laura has enjoyed a varied freelance career, which has encompassed numerous National and International tours including a recent 3 month tour of the USA with London City Opera and National Tours with Chess, South Pacific and Singin' in the Rain.

As an orchestral musician, Laura has performed at all of the major UK concert venues with the London Mozart Players, Royal Liverpool Philharmonic, National Chamber Orchestra of Wales, Bournemouth Symphony, English National Ballet and the BBC.

As a chamber musician Laura has performed at venues around the country, including a recital with the Boccherini String Trio at the London School of Economic (October 2005).

Laura's theatre work includes the national tours of 'Singin' in the Rain', 'Great Expectations', 'Chess' and 'South Pacific' . Laura has also played in 'After the Fair' (King's Head) and Behind the Iron Mask.

Laura doubles on saxophones, clarinet and flute for shows. She plays a Marigaux Oboe and a Loree Cor Anglais.

As a pianist, Laura regularly accompanies and often performs on cruise ships.

Orchestras: Apollo Chamber Orchestra, Carl Rosa Opera Company, Chameleon Arts Orchestra, London Chamber Orchestra, London Concert Orchestra, Musical Associates (UK) Limited, New London Sinfonia, Opera Brava, Opera Project, Orchestra of the Swan, Sinfonia Verdi, Thames Festival Orchestra.

Laura's orchestral work also includes London City Opera, English National Ballet, Royal Philharmonic Concert Orchestra, ViVA, Bob Porter, Brandenburg Sinfonia, Opera East, Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra.

Education
Laura's schooling took place at the Junior Royal College of Music (Junior Exhibitioner). Laura's graduate studies took place at the University of Nottingham and the Royal Conservatoire, The Hague (postgraduate studies).
