Biography
In addition to his freelance orchestral work, Michael has also been booked for numerous pop/film/TV/jingle sessons as a bass guitarist, double bassist and guitarist.

Michael's theatre work includes Honk! (national tour) and La Cava (West End). He was the bass player in the Vanessa Mae Band

Michael's studio work includes sessions for A Dance To The Music Of Time, Phantom Of The Opera, De-Lovely, Mrs Henderson Presents

Michael also work as a Jazz arranger/orchestrator/copyist for the BBC, recording studios, pop orchestras, the theatre, and for big bands

Orchestras: Apollo Chamber Orchestra, Bernardi Chamber Ensemble, British Philharmonic Orchestra, London Musical Arts Orchestra (LMA Orchestra), London Symphony Orchestra, National Symphony Orchestra, New London Sinfonia, Philharmonia Orchestra, Sinfonia Verdi, Southern Sinfonia, Urban Soul Orchestra. Sessions: Audrey Riley, BBC TV Session, London Metropolitan Orchestras Ltd, London Musicians Limited.

Michael's orchestral work also includes the Academy of St. Martin in the Fields, BT Scottish Ensemble, the Composers' Ensemble, Scottish Chamber Orchestra, Royal Scottish National Orchestra, Camerata Nordica, Irish Chamber Orchestra, NRK Kringkastingsorkestret.

Education
Michael's schooling took place at Southampton & Andover. Michael's graduate studies took place at Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama (1990 - 1993, BA (Musical Studies) University of Glasgow) and the Royal College of Music (1993 - 1994, Associateship).
