Biography

Anne is no.4 1st violin (co-leading as required) with English National Ballet, and also works with the ENB Department of Learning. She has guest co-led the Welsh Chamber Orchestra. She co-led Moscow City Ballet for several years, and also held principal 2nd violin positions with them, the Russian National Ballet and European Chamber Opera. She was a member of the 1st violin section of Kuopio Orchestra, Finland.

Theatre work includes Blood Brothers (solo violin), Phantom of the Opera, Les Miserables, Mack and Mabel and leading The King and I at the Everyman Theatre, Cheltenham.

Anne is an experienced session player having worked for several London-based contractors in large studio sessions and smaller groups including jingles for Norwich Union and film work.

She has played in the backing orchestras for artists such as Cliff Richard, Lionel Richie, Annie Lennox, McFly, Will Young, Westlife, Sugababes, Pink, Embrace, Bee Gees, Ozzy Osbourne, Jason Donovan, Dionne Warwick, Ronan Keating and classical artists including Pavarotti, Kiri te Kanawa, Jose Carreras, Andrea Bocelli, Katherine Jenkins and Hayley Westenra. A highlight was performing at the Concert for Diana in 2007 broadcast live from Wembley to 500 million viewers worldwide.

Anne has appeared playing in the film The Life and Death of Peter Sellers and has performed as a soloist for Songs of Praise.

Anne frequently plays with several background string quartets and is a member of the Valentine String Quartet.

Anne is also interested in Art (Shell painting competition prize-winner) and photography (runner up in Which? Photography competition 2008)

Anne's orchestral work also includes the City of London Sinfonia, London Concertino, London Sinfonietta, Mozart Festival Orchestra, Oporto Chamber Orchestra, Royal Philharmonic Concert Orchestra and Stavanger Symphony Orchestra (Norway).

Anne's schooling took place at Banbridge Academy. Anne's graduate studies took place at Queen's University Belfast (B.Ed Hons, Music)
