Biography
Eleanor was a regular player with the Academy of St Martin-in-the-Fields for ten years, working with Sir Neville Marriner, Kenneth Sillito and Iona Brown and she has also worked with many of the leading British Symphony and Chamber Orchestras. Eleanor's Pop, Film and TV session work includes sessions for London Metropolitan Orchestras, Tonia Daval, George Hamer, Hillary Skewes and Wired Strings and she has also been in the backing bands for M People, Page and Plant and Pink Floyd.

Orchestral Work
Orchestras: BBC Symphony Orchestra, British Philharmonic Orchestra, City of London Sinfonia, English National Opera Orchestra, English Sinfonia, Orchestra of St John's, Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, Wired Strings. Sessions: Hilary Skewes, London Metropolitan Orchestras Ltd.

Eleanor's orchestral work also includes the Granada Chamber Orchestra in Spain (1989 - 1990) and the Halle Orchestra.

Education
Eleanor was born in Glasgow 1968. Eleanor's schooling took place at Boclair Academy, Bearsden, Glasgow. Eleanor's graduate studies took place at Royal Northern College of Music & Academy of Performing Arts, Prague.

  • British Council Scholarship of further study at the Academy of Performing Arts, Prague (1991)
  • Sir James Caird Scholarship for further study in Prague (1991)
  • Associated Board Gold and Silver Medal awards (1982 & 1983)
  • Allcard Grant awarded from Worshipful Company of Musicians
