Biography
Karin is currently working with several London Orchestras, including Academy of St Martin in the Fields, Royal Opera House Orchestra, London Chamber Orchestra and many others. Karin was a member of Southbank Sinfonia (2005) with whom she performed the Mendelssohn Concerto in E Minor in Italy.
Performances as a Concerto Soloist include Mendelssohn Concerto in E-Minor, Bruch Violin Concerto in G Minor, Mozart Violin Concerto in D Major, Bach Double Concerto for Two Violins, Tartini Violin Concerto in D Minor, Vivaldi Spring from the Four Seasons, Mendelssohn Double Concerto for Violin and Piano, and Sarasate Zigeunerweisen.
As a chamber musician Karin's work includes a performance at the Wigmore Hall in 2005, playing the premiére of Antony Weeden's The Colour of Brass. She has also taken part in a quartet performance at the opening night of the Chinese exhibition at the Royal Academy of Art in 2006. Other performances include the Mendelssohn Octet with members of the Southbank Sinfonia. Her chamber music work also includes a a performance of Quartet for the End of Time by Messiaen at the Royal College of Music in 2004 and a Quartet performance at the Standford Festival 2003. Karin has taken part in numerous recitals and performances in Switzerland, Denmark, Czech Republic, Germany, Mexico, USA, England, Italy and France.

Karin's orchestral work also includes Riva del Garda Festival Orchestra (Summer 2004), Royal College of Music Symphony Orchestra (including co-leader), Royal College of Music Opera Orchestra and String Ensemble, Orchestra of the Conservatories of Zurich, Winterthur and Schaffhausen, Zurich University Symphony Orchestra, Swiss Chamber Orchestra and The Festival Orchestra at the Riva del Garda Summer Festival in 2004. Karin was Leader of a film - music orchestra in Switzerland, and has versatile experience as a freelance player.
Education Karin's graduate studies took place at the Royal College of Music, where achieved an MMus Degree (2002 - 05), and has obtained an Advanced Postgraduate diploma (2004) and Postgraduate diploma with distinction (2003). Karin has also studied at the Prague Conservatory (2000 - 2002), and Konservatorium Schaffhausen where she completed the Graduate diploma with distinction (1996 - 2000). Prizes and Awards

She has also worked with the following at various Summer Courses: Professor Gratchia Aruntunjan at the Crescendo Music School (2003), Professor Michael Vaiman at the Academie International (1999), Professor Sally Thomas at the Meadowmount School of Music New York (1998) and with Professor Detlef Hahn at Margess International, Switzerland (1997). During 1998 - 2000 she had regular Quartet lessions with the famous Carmina Quartett.
