Biography
Meredith Moore was born and raised in the United States of America in the State of Connecticut. She attended Ithaca College in New York where she graduated Magma Cum Laude. Meredith has just finished her final year at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama where she is studied for a BMUS Honors Degree in horn with second study in natural horn.
Orchestral Work
Orchestras: Dartington Festival Orchestra, London Symphony Orchestra, New London Sinfonia. Education Work: London Symphony Orchestra Education / Discovery.
Meredith's orchestral work also includes Jersey Chamber Orchestra, Helios Chamber Orchestra (current principal horn), Pazzia Contemporary Collective (principal horn), Brevard Festival Orchestra (North Carolina, extra and Wagner Tuba), Eastern Festival Orchestra (North Carolina). Natural Horn experience includes the Serse Ensemble and Orsterchorstienway (Bremen). Youth orchestras include Young Musicians Symphony Orchestra, Guildhall Symphony Orchestras and the University of London Symphony Orchestra.
Meredith's solo experience includes:
- Strauss 1st Horn Concerto, with Helios Chamber Orchestra (2009)
- International Horn Society Solo Competition, Top Five Finalist, Denver, Colorado (2008)
- Audi Mozart/Mozart Italia Solo Competition Finalist, Rovereto, Italy (2008)
- Interntional Horn Society Northeast Concerto Competition Winner, performing RICHARD STRAUSS Horn Concerto No.1 with Mansfield Wind Ensemble, Pennsylvania (2007)
Chamber music includes T-Brass Quintet and Trio, and Wigmore Hall Chamber Tots.
Meredith has attended academies including LSO St.Luke's Brass Academy (2008), Brevard Music Festival, North Carolina (2007) and Eastern Music Festival, North Carolina (2005-2006).
Education
