Outreach experience
Heavily involved in outreach work, Julia has led workshops at the RCM Summer School (2005) and also at the Tanglin Trust School, Singapore (2005). She has been a mentor for 'The Music Project' at St.Paul's School, Barnes since 2005. Julia has also given regular recitals at the Royal Hospital for Neuro-Disability in Putney since 2005.

Biography
Born in 1984, Julia Morneweg studied with Raphael Wallfisch, Klaus Heitz and at the Royal College of Music with with Leonid Gorokhov. She has also performed in many international masterclasses and received guidance from distinguished musicians such as Rapahael Wallfisch, Lluis Claret, Alexander Baillie, Christiane Edinger and most notably Alexander Ivashkin.

Fundraising run for Cancer Research UK in 2008
On 27th July at Kempton Park, Julia is taking part in the Race for Life in aid of Cancer Research UK.
This charity's work helps thousands of people every year to survive the battle against cancer by raising funds for vital research into new treatment methods. Therefore if you can, please take a minute to look at my fundraising page and donate, no matter how much or how little, every penny helps! In return I promise to train rigorously and run the 5k as fast as I can!

The recipient of an EMI Music Foundation Award, she has given many solo performances around Germany, the UK, Belgium and the United States. During the last season Julia's concerto engagements have included appearances in London and the Ukraine, as well as the Elgar and Haydn C major concertos at St. John's Smith Square. She is performing numerous recitals in the UK and abroad, both as a soloist and with the Erato Piano Trio. In August 2007 she was invited by renowned flautist Susan Milan to play the opening recital of the Charterhouse International Music Festival.

Julia's orchestral work also includes Cameristi della Scala Milano (co-principal), Orchestra Filarmonica della Scala Milano, Philomel Orchestra (co-principal), Israel Soloists Ensemble, I Maestri (principal), A40 Concert Orchestra (principal), Guernsey Symphony Orchestra.
Julia has also gained orchestral experience playing with the RCM Symphony Orchestra, Sinfonietta, Chamber Orchestra (principal), Amadeus Orchestra and the Symphony Orchestra of the HMT Hannover.

A passionate chamber musician, Julia has performed a wide variety of repertoire in different formations and currently pursues a busy concert schedule with Erato Piano Trio which she founded in 2005. Since winning the Anglo-Czech Trust Music Competition 2006 this highly successful group has gone on to perform at many important venues including the Martinu Hall in Prague and the Zurich Tonhalle where they performed Messiaen's Quartet for the End of Time alongside distinguished clarinettists Joan Enric Lluna. Most recently they have been invited to give a series of recitals at prestigious London venues including St. Martin in the Fields and St. James Piccadilly under the auspices of the Concordia Foundation.
Education Julia's graduate studies took place at the Hochschule für Musik und Theater, Hannover and the Royal College of Music, London. Prizes and Awards Julia was the recipient of the EMI Music Foundation Award (2004) and was the winner of the Anglo-Czech Trust Competition with the Erato Piano Trio (2006).
