Biography
Samuel is currently on trial with the Opera North Orchestra, and recently trialled with the BBC Philharmonic Orchestra. As an orchestral musician he regularly works with the BBC National Orchestra of Wales and BBC Philharmonic Orchestra, contributing towards their busy schedules of performing, recording and touring. With both orchestras he has appeared live on Radio 3, and has also recorded for Chandos and BBC FOUR. Sam's orchestral work also includes Welsh National Opera, National Symphony Orchestra, Swansea City Opera and numerous other ensembles.

Commercially, Samuel has worked with Goldfrapp at their album launch and as part of their Seventh Tree tour, culminating in a broadcast performance at the BBC Electric Proms. He has also performed with the Urban Soul Orchestra, Katherine Jenkins, Paul Potts, Blake and Lesley Garrett..

A keen recitalist and chamber musician, Samuel has recently formed a duo with Thomas Coltman, giving their debut recital at the Corsham Arts Centre. Samuel has also performed at the Tibor Varga Festival (Switzerland), Aldeburgh Festival, Artwave Lewes Festival and the Brighton Fringe Festival, and in 2007 delivered a chamber music recital series at La Mortella, home of Lady Walton.

Samuel's orchestral work also includes Swansea City Opera, Welsh Sinfonia.

Education
Samuel's graduate studies took place at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama under Simon Rowland-Jones and Steven Burnard, where he gained a BMus (Hons) with Distinction in Performance and a Postgraduate Diploma with Distinction.
