Biography
Lucy has always enjoyed performing a diverse range of musical styles.

As a student at the Guildhall of Music Lucy was able to further this interest by performing, with various ensembles, an eclectic repertoire ranging from the standard Classical repertoire to Irish/Scottish Folk and from contemporary programs to pop/rock to jazz.

She performed these programs with her Violin and Piano duo, and as a member of different Piano Trios and String Quartets. Lucy also furthered her interest in Irish/Scottish Folk music by playing the fiddle in folk rock bands.

As an aspiring orchestral musician Lucy furthered her studies at the Britten-Pears School for Advanced Musical Studies, as co-Leader of British Youth Opera and as Principal 2nd Violin for Musicfest International Orchestra.

Lucy's Radio & Studio work includes recording for Classic FM (Julian Lloyd Webber, Hayley Westernra, and Paul Potts - winner of Britain's got Talent 2007), recording with writer & producer Chaz Jenkel (co writer with the late Ian Dury), performances for the premier of Nicola Le Fanus Concertino, and a performance the band Sparklehorse.

As a chamber musician Lucy has worked with the

  • Recitals for Violin and Piano: includes St Brides Church, Fleet Street, London

  • Anjulu Piano Trio: Functions, Corporate
  • Baltiorum: Irish Folk Ensemble

Lucy's plans for the future include recording a solo CD 'Wildfire' with her own modern arrangements of Celtic music (tunes written by well known composers, some traditional as well as her own compositions) while continuing freelance orchestral and session work.

Education
Lucy's graduate studies took place at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama (1996 - 2004), and Middlesex University (Dip HE Music, 1993 - 1996).

Lucy's training also consists of: Britten-Pears School for Advanced Musical Studies (2000 - 2002), BPO Training Course The Rehearsal Orchestra (2002), Musicfest International Summer School (2000) Orchestral and Chamber Course.

Teachers: Dona Lee Croft, Gerhard Schmidt, Michael Thomas (Brodsky Quartet), Suzanne Rosza.
