Miranda has been guest principal with the Philharmonia, BBC Scottish, London Mozart Players, Manchester Camerata, Royal Liverpool Philharmonic, Bergen Philharmonic, City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra and has been a regular guest Concert Master of the Trondheim Symphony Orchestra since 1990. Miranda held a principal position and performed as soloist with the Malaysian Philharmonic from 1999 - 2005.

As a student, Miranda played with the Trinity College of Music Symphony and Chamber Orchestras (leader) and was a member of the European Community Youth Orchestra (1983 - 1985).

In 2010 Miranda was appointed Professor of violin at the Royal Northern College of Music.

In 2009 Miranda was appointed associate leader of the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra.

In 2007 Miranda was invited by the Tomatis Institute to record Mozart's complete Flute Quartets with S. Witt (flute); Mozart's Oboe Quartet with Christopher Cowie (oboe); and Mozart's Violin and Viola duos with Nils Moenkemeyer (viola). The recordings are to be released in 2009 by the Tomatis Institute.

Miranda has also been a participant at the Emanuel Hurwitz music course (Monterosso, Italy, 1982) and Pro Corda (Chamber music, 1975 - 1982). In 2007, Miranda performed at the St. Endellion Festival, both as soloist and leader of the orchestra.

Miranda has given recitals in London, Trondheim, Bodo, Tromso, Oslo and Kuala Lumpur.

As a chamber musician Miranda has performed at the Nürnberg International Chamber Music Festival (Sep 2011) and has been invited to play at Prussia Cove (International Musicians Seminar, 1995 - present) and Banff Centre, Canada (1992 - 1993). She has also given regular chamber concerts in the Malaysia Philharmonic Hall (1999 - 2005); performed in Mumbai (India) with principals of Malaysian Philharmonic (2003); given recitals with the Vertavo String Quartet Oslo (2 tours in Scandinavia, 1997); and been involved in chamber music projects with members of Oslo Philharmonic and Chamber Orchestras (1991 - 1992).

Miranda had a private teaching practice in Malaysia for five years. She continues to teach in the UK and has a class at the Royal Malvern College of Music.
