Biography
In addition to her extensive work as an orchestral player, Cecily's solo engagements include the Stamitz viola concerto in June 2006 in Ledbury and numerous quartet recitals.

Cecily currently teaches at Abberley Hall School and coaches the violas in the Worcestershire Youth Orchestra. She is also the First Violin and Upper Strings Coach in the National Schools' Symphony Orchestra.

Cecily's orchestral work also includes Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra (member, 1984 - 1982) and the BBC Concert Orchestra (member, 1982 - 1987), BBC National Orchestra Wales, Welsh National Opera, BBC Philharmonic, Opera North, D'oyly Carte Orchestra, English String Orchestra, English Symphony Orchestra, Guildford Philharmonic, National Symphony Orchestra, Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, ViVA, Bath Philharmonia, Bournemouth Sinfonietta, Ballet Rambert, London Mozart Players, Royal Liverpool Philharmonic orchestra.

Education
Cecily's graduate studies took place at Royal College of Music (1971 - 1974)

Prizes and Awards

  • Lesley Alexander Award 1973.

Teachers: Ian White, George Robertson, Margaret Major and Christopher Wellington.
