Biography
Kate Robinson is a busy and successful musician playing around the country and abroad. She is the principle violinist of The Heritage Orchester. She has had solo radio broadcasts on Classic FM and Radio 3 and has performed chamber music in many major concert venues around the UK.
Orchestral Work
Orchestras: Apollo Chamber Orchestra, Aurora Orchestra, BBC Concert Orchestra, English Chamber Orchestra, London Octave, Marylebone Camerata, Opera North Orchestra, Philharmonia Orchestra, Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra, The Heritage Orchestra, Trafalgar Sinfonia. Kate's orchestral work also includes guest principal for the Heritage Orchestra on the Tim Minchin tour, guest sub principal 2nd violin for English National Opera Orchestra, the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra and the Scottish Chamber Orchestra. She also regularly plays with The European Camerata. Other orchestral work includes the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, London Chamber Orchestra, London Concertante and Tete-a-Tete Opera Company.
Kate's session work includes Millennia Strings, Tonic Music Ltd, Sue Carling and Harry Escott.
Kate's pop work includes playing and recording with Nitin Sawney, The Gorillas, Tori Amos, Susan Boyle, The Hoosiers, Russell Watson, Aled Jones Professor Green, Emili Sandi and Anthony and the Johnsons.
Education
Kate's graduate studies took place at the Royal College of Music where she gained a first class honours degree. She studied there with Rodney Friend and later with Riggiero Ricci and Herman Krebbers.
